SR Productions creates forward-thinking Speaker Series Programs. All SR Programs are dedicated to the kind of exchange of ideas that only a live speaker in a community forum can provide. Our programs create an atmosphere in which the "Chautauqua" - the open expression of the spoken word - is highly enjoyable and stimulates thought and discussion.
SR Productions is partnered with the Music Center of Los Angeles. We are the exclusive producers for all the Speaker Series Events held at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and the Ahmanson Theater. The 2005 sell out season featured dignitaries such as PRESIDENT WILLIAM JEFFERSON CLINTON, TOM BROKAW, QUEEN NOOR, GWEN IFILL, DAVID GERGEN, CHARLIE ROSE and architect DANIEL LIBESKIND.
Each season SR Productions hosts presenters who cover topics that include: politics & influence; media & American behavior; architecture & city space; religion & power; art & the human condition.
SR Productions was founded by Alan Rothenberg & Dan Savage; two of the most experienced programmers in America. The partners have each produced events for over three decades. Alan Rothenberg, who founded Major League Soccer in the United States, produced highly successful World Cup events in both 1994 and 1999. Dan Savage created the “World of Star Trek” Arena Tours and “Alex Haley's in America" Tours. They both have produced innumerable events for both public and private venues.
